Notes:

A wiki is easier to manage than a website. Can protect it so kids can't edit if you don't want them to. They can view without being members. Great tool for parent communication. Ability to embed outside sites within the wiki, such as a google calendar, google forms and other widgets. Student access from anywhere.

The tedious part of using a wiki for the projects is getting the kids going with the details of embedding and use of the wiki. Spends a class period using a past project to go over the steps they'll need to be successful in this area. Recommends using http://cogdogroo.wikispaces.com/StoryTools as a way to intro outside tools for use in projects.

Rubrics used for assessment. Presenter shares that the rubric she used was very similar to the rubric she would have used for projects that weren't tech related.
